Sailors of the Week, Weekend 9, Fall 2014

Rios, Ferraris, Palfrey & Bove are NEISA's COED SAILORS OF THE WEEK

Burlington, VT - Nov 6, 2014 - Boston College's Raul Rios and crews Allison Ferraris, Alex Palfrey, and Domenic Bove won A-division at the Schell Trophy and are NEISA's Coed Sailors of the Week.  Rios and crews sailed fought back from an OCS on day one, their only finish outside the top seven, to win the hard-fought division.  Scoring just six points in Sunday's four windy races, including three first place finishes, allowed the team from BC to climb to the top of the A-division leaderboard and helped Boston College claim the overall victory.

Donahue, Downey, Schalka & Loosbrock named NEISA'S WOMEN'S SAILORS OF THE WEEK

Enfield, NH - Nov 6, 2014 - Boston College Eagles Allyson Donahue, Katherine Downey, Emily Schalka and Madde Loosbrock won B-division at the Urn Trophy and are NEISA's Women's Sailors of the Week.  Consistent sailing with all top ten finishes, including six of ten races in the top three, was the key to the Eagles' success.  The team's winning performance in B-division helped BC earn the overall victory at the Urn Trophy.

Boston College swept this year's fall Conference Championships, winning the Schell and the Urn, as well as capturing the Freshman Championships for the Nickerson Trophy.  Middlebury won the New England Dinghy Tournament in windy conditions at UNH
