NEISA Teams of the Week, Spring 2025, Week 7


New London, CT – 4/13/25 – The Harvard Crimson are the NEISA Open Team of the Week for their victory at the Thompson Trophy – CGA, an event which ran concurrently with the other half of the Thompson field competing at nearby Connecticut College. The team of Justin Callahan ’26, Kennedy Leehealey ’26, Mitchell Callahan ’26, Rosella Irfan ’27, Robby Meek ’27, Christina Chen ’27, Harrison Strom ’28, and Alexandra Dorofeev ’25 started the regatta slow with losses in two of the first three races but quickly regained their usual form, cruising to an 18-3 record that included a 7-0 final round on their way to a four race win over 2nd place Boston College. 

Providence, RI – 4/13/25 – The Yale Bulldogs are the NEISA Women’s Team of the Week for winning the NEISA Women’s Team Race Championship for the 3rd consecutive year, claiming the Legler Trophy. The seasoned team of Mia Nicolosi ’25, Carmen Cowles ’25, Emma Cowles ’25, Ximena Escobar ’25, Carmen Berg ’26, Julia Miller ’26, Audrey Foley ’28, and Jessi Avila-Shah ’25 showed their experience together with a commanding 17-0 victory over runners up Brown (12-5). This win earns Yale an automatic berth to the ICSA Women’s Team Race Nationals at Brown later this month, an event that Yale won in both 2022 and 2023.
