New London, CT – 3/23/35 – For the 3rd week in a row, the Roger Williams University Hawks are the NEISA Open Team of the week. Once again, clinching the win at the Jan Friis Trophy, the Hawks proved that they are a force to reckoned with. The regatta sampled a new format, moving into a knockout series between the top 8 teams after the initial round robin of 10 teams. The Hawks entered the knockout series in 3rd place, with a record of 6-3. In the quarterfinals, the Hawks knocked out Coast Guard 2-0 and went on to knock out Boston College in the semifinals 2-1. Then, proving that they could turn it on when it matters most, the Hawks beat Stanford in the Finals, 2-1. Congratulations to Skippers, Carlos de Castro ’26, Mathieu Dale ’25, and Oliver Stokke ’26; and Crews, Carly Kiss ’25, Addyson Fisher ’27, Jed Lory ’27, and Clare Buckley ’25 on their hard fought and convincing victory.
Boston, MA – 3/23/35 – Once again, the Yale Women’s team has dominated the top Women’s team race of the weekend. Finishing with a record of 15-1 at the Duplin Trophy hosted by Harvard, the Yale Bulldogs are the NEISA Women’s Team of the Week for the 3rd time this season. Across 2 round robins, the Bulldogs dropped only 1 race to the Charleston Cougars. This team showed their depth this weekend, sailing a total of 5 different Skippers and 6 different crews throughout the event, with some players crossing over between roles.
