*** Sophia Reineke '22 and Laura Ferraris '22 are the Women's Sailors of the Week ***
Sophia Reineke '22 and Laura Ferraris '22 from the Boston College Eagles have been named the Women Sailors of the Week. The duo led the Eagles to the first Women’s NE Team Race Championship for the Brad Dellenbaugh Trophy, finishing with an impressive 18-3 record and receiving an automatic berth to the College Sailing Women's Team Race National Championship, April 23-24, back at Brown University and the Ted Turner '60 Sailing Pavilion at the Edgewood Yacht Club. Racing for places 2nd through 5th was super tight between Ivy rivals Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, and Harvard.
*** Spencer Cartwright '22 and Rachel Holick '22 are the Open Sailors of the Week ***
Spencer Cartwright '22 and Rachel Holick '22 from the Roger Williams Hawks have been named the Open Division Sailors of the Week. Cartwright and Holick lead the Hawks to a tie break win over the Yaleies at the 39th Lynn Marchiando trophy last weekend at MIT. Cartwright and Holick have been leading the Hawks and supporting their teammates on and off the water all season. The Hawks and other NE Teams will be at Harvard University this weekend for the New England Team Racing Championship, the winning team gets an automatic berth to the Team Racing National Championship at Tulane University in the middle of May.
