Week 9 Open
Harvard University’s Robby Meek ’27 has been named the NEISA Open Sailor of the Week after his commanding win at the College Sailing Open Singlehanded National Championship at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Despite light and challenging conditions throughout the weekend, Meek dominated the 18-boat nationals fleet from start to finish. Winning four of the seven races sailed in the event and finishing 2nd and 3rd in the two other races, Meek ended the championship with an impressive total of only 10 points, 24 points ahead of the second-place finisher. Meek’s performance earned him the prestigious Glen S. Foster Trophy as the 2025 College Sailing Open Singlehanded National Champion.
Week 9 Women's
Brown University’s Katharine Doble ’26 has been named the NEISA Women’s Sailor of the Week after her strong second place overall finish at the College Sailing Women’s Singlehanded National Championship for the Janet Lutz Trophy, hosted by Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Doble finished with four top-five finishes including two race wins and a second place in the seven-race event. Despite the challenging conditions and a talented fleet, Katharine remained in a very tight battle for the championship title going into the last race. This is Katharine's second podium finish at the singlehanded championship after finishing in a close 2nd place in 2023.
