NEISA Sailors of the Week, Weekend 5, Fall 2019


***Shanahan and Reynolds are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week***

New London, CT—3/10/19-Patrick Shanahan ’19 and Julia Reynolds ’21 are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week for leading the Brown Bears to a solid runner-up finish at the incredibly deep St. Mary’s College Team Race Regatta.  The duo from Brown led the Bears to a 7-2 record.  Of the nine races sailed by Brown, four of them were won with a combination of 1,2,3 and two other races finished in a 1,2,4 and a 1,2,5 combo. 

***Klingler and Woods are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

Annapolis, MD—3/10/19-Christine Klingler ’20 and Kira Woods ’19 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning B-division at the Navy Women’s Spring Interconference hosted by The U.S. Naval Academy.  Klingler and Woods counted three wins and five second place finishes with no other finishes outside the top ten to win their division by a whopping twenty-six points. Conditions varied throughout the event which made the duo’s win all that more impressive.  The B-Division win by Klingler and Woods led the Bulldogs to a twenty point win over The Charleston Cougars.

Around the Conference

MIT placed 3rdat the Navy Women’s Spring, Bowdoin won the Rudkin Team Race, Tufts captured the Wood Trophy, Ice Breaker and the Arctic Circle Team Race while Coast Guard placed 8that the Charleston Spring Regatta.
