NEISA Sailors of the Week, Weekend 2, Fall 2017

***Rodopman is the NEISA Coed Sailor of the Week***

 

Kings Point, NY—18 September 2017-Alp Rodopman ’17 of Tufts University is the NEISA Coed Sailor of the Week after winning C-division at the Nevin Trophy.  Rodopman was incredibly consistent and finished in the top six in thirteen of the fifteen races.  Rodopman led the Jumbos to a second place overall finish at the Nevins Trophy.

 

***White and Benjamin are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

 

New London, CT—18 September 2017-Emma White ’19 and Peninah Benjamin ’20 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week for winning A-division at the Stu Nelson Trophy hosted by Connecticut College.  The duo from Dartmouth won two of the seven races and only had one race out of the top eight.  White and Benjamin led the Big Green to a sixth place overall finish.

 

Around the Conference

 

Yale won the Stu Nelson with Coast Guard finishing second and Boston College finishing third.  Harvard won the Hatch Brown with BC finishing second and Connecticut College finishing third.  Salve won the Sacred Heart Trophy, MIT won the Central 2, and URI won the Donaghy Bowl.
