*** Egan ‘25, Grimes ‘24, Chaumont ‘23 and Davies ‘24 are NEISA Sailors of the Week***
St. Petersburg, FL – 11/13-14/21 – Jack Egan, Megan Grimes, Christophe Chaumont and Nicholas Davies are the NEISA Sailors of the Week for their performance at the 2021 ICSA Match Race National Championship. Due to light winds, the event was shortened to just one round and then a finals and Petit-finals. The Bulldogs finished the only round robin with one loss which meant that they would meet the U.S. Naval Academy in the finals. The first team to two wins would be the Match Race National Champions. Yale won the first race then Navy took the second race. The bulldogs were able to control the start and then never looked back to take the last race comfortably and with it the championship. The U.S Coast Guard Academy took third place after defeating the Georgetown Hoyas in the petit-finals. The Coast Guard boat was sailed by Nathan Olmsted ’23, Sydney Motherway ’24, Jack Derry ’25 and Matthew Kickhafer ’23. GO NEISA!
