Women's Sailors of the Week
The Harvard Crimson Women’s B division Team of Kate Danielson ‘28, Zia Zucker ‘30, Marion Montgomery ‘30, and Christina Chen ‘27 are your NEISA Sailors of the Week for October 17-18. Their B division win at Women’s Atlantic Coast Championship Finals also helped carry Harvard to the overall title for Harvard in the most competitive event of the season. The competition was close and fierce, and the top four teams were within 10 points for most of the event. At the end of 10 races on Saturday, only 4 points separated the top four teams. Going into the last race, it was still uncertain who would walk away with the title. With pressure on, the Harvard B division team won the last race and clinched the championship title. It was an exciting weekend and a standout performance.
Open Sailors of the Week
The Yale Bulldogs A division team of Wyatt Kelly ‘30 and Ashley Highland ‘27 are your NEISA Sailors of the Week for October 17-18. Kelly ‘30 and Highland ‘27 won A division at this weekend’s NEISA A-level Open event, the Captain Hurst Bowl at Dartmouth College. With breeze into the mid-20s and variable Mascoma Lake shifts, this team stayed consistently at the top, scoring all single digit finishes across the ten races sailed. Congratulations to the Bulldogs on an airtight win in A division!
