NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week, Weekend 7, Fall 2016

***Bryer and Scanlon are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***


Enfield, NH—10/23/16-Rachel Bryer ’17 and Hannah Scanlon ’18 of the University of Rhode Island are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning A-division at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl hosted by Dartmouth College.  The duo from Rhode Island finished amassed a 20 point lead in mostly breezy conditions. They finished in the top three in 11 of the 16 races sailed. URI finished second overall to the Coast Guard Academy Bears.


Around the Conference

Roger Williams University won the Oberg trophy at MIT. Boston College won the truncated Central Series, shortened due the gale force winds on Boston Harbor on Sunday. The McGill Redbirds won the Peak Foliage Regatta hosted by the University of New Hampshire at Tufts. The Coast Guard Academy took second place at the McMillan Cup at the Naval Academy.
