NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week, Weekend 4, Spring 2017


***Knapp '18 and Huebner '18 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

Medford, MA-3/26/17 – Katharina (KB) Knapp '18 and Claire Huebner '18 of Yale are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to victory at the Duplin Women’s Team Race Trophy, hosted by Tufts University.  Knapp and Huebner were standout performers throughout the event, making plays and showing strong boathandling and boatspeed.  They led Yale to a 12-2 record in the 10-team event.

Around the Conference

Congratulations to the Yale Bulldogs on a dominant weekend, winning the Jan T. Friis Team Race Trophy, the Duplin Women’s Team Race, and the NEISA/MAISA Team Race hosted by Boston College.  Dartmouth finished second at the Friis Trophy and Boston College was fourth.  The Brown University Bears finished second at the Duplin Women’s Team Race with the Dartmouth Big Green in fourth in the 10-team event.  The Brown Bears won the Staake Team Race Trophy on their home waters with a 17-3 record, followed by Connecticut College in second.  Both teams qualified for the NEISA Team Race Championship for the Fowle Trophy at Tufts on April 8-9.  The Tufts Jumbos won the Central Series hosted by Boston University and Boston College won the BU Team Race.
