NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week, Weekend 2, Fall 2016


***Donahue and Bohan are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

 

New London, CT—9/18/16 - With a win in A-division at the Stu Nelson Trophy at Connecticut College, Allyson Donahue ’17 and Alice Bohan ’18 are named NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week. The pair from Boston College notched seven top-2 finishes over the 12 races contested. The Eagles finished 2nd overall, just four points back on the Brown women’s sailors.

Around the Conference—

Yale won the Hatch Brown Trophy, named after the long-time MIT Sailing Master. The Brown Bears won the Stu Nelson at Connecticut College. Boston College prevailed at the Callagy Ross Trophy formerly known as the Lake Champlain Open hosted by the University of Vermont. At the Sacred Heart Trophy, the Coast Guard Academy bested the field. Boston College hosted the Central Series; Yale sailed away with the win. At Navy, Coast Guard finished 2nd at the Shields Trophy, College Sailing’s Championship for service and maritime academies. Yale passed Tufts in the last set to take victory at the Nevins Trophy at Kings Point.
