***Sinks, Reineke, Lynn are the NEISA COED SAILORS of the Week***
Newport, RI—10/17/16-Scotty Sinks ‘18, Erika Reineke ‘17, and Peter Lynn ’19 of Boston College are the NEISA Sailors of the Week for winning the New England Match Race Championship. The Eagles finished the qualifying round with a record of 5-2 and then defeated Yale in the quarter finals, Bowdoin in the semis Finals, and then beat Dartmouth 2-0 in the finals. The Eagles had great boat speed in the windy conditions on Sunday. The win qualifies the Eagles for the Match Race National Championship hosted by San Diego Yacht Club November 19-20.
Around the Conference
Dartmouth finished second at the New England Match Race Champs and will join BC out in San Diego for Match Race Nationals. Yale won the Yale Women’s Regatta. MIT won the Captain Hurst Bowl and the MIT Invitational. Coast Guard won the PC Invite. Mass Maritime won the Great Herring Pond Open. McGill won the McGill Cup.
