#2 College of Charleston’s senior and ICSA College Sailor of the Year frontrunner, Stefano Peschiera won the Laser Performance Men's Singlehanded Nationals in impressive fashion. A regatta, stacked with talent, showcased three previous champions, including Peschiera himself, who won the event as a freshman in 2014. Posting a scoreline with one race outside the top-7 positions, Peschiera walked away from the competition regardless of its strength. Mr. Peschiera finished with 50 points after 12 races, including 5 races inside the top-3. With only the Atlantic Coast Championship left to sail, Peschiera has put together a compelling campaign, winning his conference championship, A-Division at the Danmark Trophy and now the Singlehanded Nationals.
***Sophia Reineke is the NEISA Women’s Sailor of the Week***
